Not a bad idea, but the message board is pretty close to that. A chatroom would require a fair number of people to be online simultaneously. Would there be enough people at any one time on such a chatroom to keep it alive ???

Why not make the best of what we have right now ??? A great message board !

The applet takes a long time to load.. *kicks my stupid modem* But I'm happy that Mr. Coleman put a chatroom up for his loyal visitors! :)

I visited the chat room, Don... saw no one. Guess it wasn't a bad idea, though ... but as 'Peter N.' states... it would be difficult, given everyone's busy, personal schedules to be able to make a chatroom effective! I couldn't get on at 5pm (May 28)your time, Don... sorry! Again, as Peter says, the Messgae Board is the best of what we have already...and we can always drop in anytime to leave some comments or questions! I would suggest that, if it is too expensive to keep operating on a daily basis, Don... that perhaps it would just be better to stick with the Message Board and forsake the 'live' chatroom. The MB has recently become one of my favorite areas to visit while I am here! My personal congratulations to you for keeping all the 'complainers' and 'name-callers' under control! It makes for a very enjoyable experience while visiting this particular forum of your great website devoted to all things "Time Machine!!!"

By now, I have visited the chatroom four times. Each time, I was the only one there. I agree with Palmachine that we all have busy schedules, so it's difficult to end up simultaneously on a chatroom. Also, we each have specific interests in the subject - not necessarily shared by others in a chatroom.

With the message board, we get to pick, propose or respond to the topics that interest us at a time that is convenient to each of us. Also, whatever we post gets to be read by various people at different times.

In a chatroom, interesting information is only communicated to whoever happens to be there at the time and, so far, that's nobody !

I would rather stick to the message board. It has served us well and will continue to do so - thanks to our good friend Don !

The chatroom shall henceforth be known as "The Fortress of Solitude". Oh, wait a minute, I think that's already taken !!!
