It sounds like it could be the animated feature Clyde Lucas had mentioned a while ago. I remember someone mentioning at the time that he had read it was being produced in New Zealand, so that part of it is either a close match or, at least, a surprising coincidence. However, one wonders whether this is really based on the H.G. Wells novel. The synopsis sounds like quite a different story - about a son trying to save his father "stranded in the future" - so we'll have to wait and see whether this is some kind of sequel or variation on the original Wells novel or another story altogether, one that has nothing to do with what H.G. Wells wrote and just happens to have the same title. |
