Posted At 12:22:41 02/21/2003 It sounds like it could be the animated feature Clyde Lucas had mentioned a while ago. I remember someone mentioning at the time that he had read it was being produced in New Zealand, so that part of it is either a close match or, at least, a surprising coincidence. However, one wonders whether this is really based on the H.G. Wells novel. The synopsis sounds like quite a different story - about a son trying to save his father "stranded in the future" - so we'll have to wait and see whether this is some kind of sequel or variation on the original Wells novel or another story altogether, one that has nothing to do with what H.G. Wells wrote and just happens to have the same title. |

Posted At 23:54:41 02/22/2003 I fully agree with Francois. Considering the individual that made mention of this animated feature in the first place... it would be questionable as to the association of this version to that of the original concept of H.G.Wells... which is so much more preferable! I still opt for the Morlocks and the Eloi...and there is still that incredible dim view of the 'crab-infested beach' from the original story... who could ever forget a vision such as that? |
