I thought this was very cool. On the DVDs for Back to the Future, writer Bob Gale says that the colors of the time circuts were taken from the colors of the 3 lights bulbs on the Pal Time Machine. Red, Green, and Yellow. Both him and director Bob Zemeckis say a number of times the Wells story, and the Pal film in particular were an influence. The fact that both films start out with ticking clocks and the fact the the Time Machine can only travel in time and stays in the same space. |
