I admire the other people's models in the same way I like my own work. If possible, send them my regards! I would like to give my congratulations to everyone of them, because I know very well how much time and enthusiasm is inside their fantastic works. Maybe we inspire some other people with our works and get them interested in this topic.

For anyone interested in building a full size replica of the Pal machine, Rob Niosi has an extra dish for sale. This the same as many enthusiasts are using to build theirs. It is 60" in diameter and .125" thick spun aluminum. Cost is $390.00 plus shipping from New York. If interested you can contact Rob.

Today marks an historic event, as was depicted in George Pal's 1950 film Destination Moon. Today the first privately funded manned space craft, SpaceShip 1, took off from Mojave California entered outer space, reached an altitude of 62.5 miles and returned safely to earth.
It only took 54 years to catch up with George's vision!

The Time has Come!

I've done away with the old Message Board and replaced it with a new Message Forum.
This one is chock full of features so should be much more enjoyable. Your old password will still work on the archived posts. I'll be removing the necessity for that in due course and will add the more current postings to the archived pages.

Everyone will need to recreate their log in for the new board.

The link is still on the side directory and you can
as well

A letter from H.G. Wells to a correspondent in the U.S.

May I thank you for your appreciation of my work & call your attention to the fact that I have two works struggling for existence in America. They both contain abundant opportunities for effective 'quotes'. One is 'Select Conversations with an Uncle' published by the Merriam Co., the other the 'Time Machine' (Holt & Co. N.Y.). They have been garnering notices over here but so far they have hung fire on your side of the Atlantic. ... I would be particularly glad if you would look at the Time Machine. I've put a lot of work into it & it's glaringly new all through."
