The dish is test-fitted. Next, the bottom section of the base will be cut. Finally, the mouldings will be added.

The brass cage fitting on top of the shaft and over the Edison bulb was made out of brass wire using a custom-built jig.

 

Little decorative rosettes that evoke the real ones were found in a craft shop and were slightly modified for mounting to the ends of the control console.
